Basra Iraq

In The Red Zone

In The Red Zone
In August, 2005, American journalist Steven Vincent was killed in Basra, Iraq. Vincent was a fiercely independent freelancer who financed his own many stays in Iraq where he got to know the people basra iraq and from where he filed reports on many otherwise unreported aspects of post-Saddam Iraqi life, including Basra`s bribe-taking culture, basra iraq and the religious intolerance, especially against women, that he witnessed. Writing from a conservative viewpoint, Vincent generally supported the goals of the American operation, while never hesitating to call the British (especially) basra iraq and the Americans on some of the incredibly stupid things they do that undermine their mission. IN THE RED ZONE exhibits Vincent at his best, presenting the nitty-gritty topic, the right Iraqi to illustrate it, the telling quote that reveals a whole aspect of life, basra iraq and the moral purpose that sustains his writing, basra iraq and makes it stand out from the pack.
